CPLEX 8.1 LP and MIP Solver for MPL

CPLEX Power with MPL for Windows

CPLEX 8.1(R) for MPL gives MPL users access to CPLEX's world-class linear programming and mixed integer programming solver from within the user-friendly Windows environment of MPL. Now MPL users can access all the power and speed of CPLEX to solve difficult math programming problems, without ever leaving the MPL environment. And with MPL's unique ability to import data directly from databases such as MS Access(r) Paradox(r) and DBase(r), end-user applications can easily be created around the model using the built-in data entry and reporting capabilities of the database.

The CPLEX Callable Library, including the Mixed Integer Solver, is actually accessed from MPL for Windows as a Dynamic Link Library (DLL). This tight integration allows MPL users to transparently access CPLEX solution algorithms from their MPL application. Optimizing problems and setting CPLEX options is all done through convenient, intuitive pull-down menus and dialog boxes within MPL for Windows.

Faster on Large Difficult Models

CPLEX is the first choice for solving large difficult models in mission- critical applications where robustness and reliability are important. No other solver can match CPLEX's speed and reliability. CPLEX is currently used to solve many of the largest problems in the world, with up to millions of variables, constraints, and non-zeros. You can rest assured that CPLEX will provide the right answers, fast.

CPLEX Options

MPL enables users to set CPLEX parameters and options directly from the user-friendly MPL for Windows environment. Users can select various algorithmic options, set tolerances, and take advantage of powerful CPLEX features such as branching options and SOS sets. CPLEX parameters and options allow users to adopt a customized approach for solving tough problems (but defaults have been carefully selected to provide good performance on most models).

Highly Rated Service & Support

CPLEX stands behind every copy of optimization software with world- class service and support. CPLEX's technical support staff is rated "excellent" by users. And CPLEX's investment in ongoing development and algorithmic research ensures that CPLEX will remain the leader in linear and mixed integer algorithms for years to come.
